32 Maoists give up in Dantewada, 4 carried reward of Rs 1 lakh every

Thirty-two Maoists, together with 4 carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh every on their head, surrendered before the Chhattisgarh Police in Dantewada district, police stated on Sunday.

As per a press launch issued by the district police, 19 surrendered Maoists are natives of Bakeli village, 4 from Korkotti and three every from Udenar, Tumarigunda and Matasi villages which come below Barsoor police station of Dantewada district.

Police additional claimed that the Maoists surrendered below ‘Lon Varratu’ drive below which banners have been put up of their villages, interesting them to give up.

The surrendered cadres have been concerned within the assault on security forces and different Maoists violence within the district, police added.

“Four of them carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh each on their them and were absconding,” the press launch said.

Dantewada police offered them with Rs 10,000 as fast help. Other amenities below Chhattisgarh Surrender and Rehabilitation approach will observe.

As per information, no less than 150 purported Maoists have laid down their arms and surrendered below the continuing ‘Lon Varratu’ campaign up to now 4 months throughout round 50 villages of the Left-wing Extremism (LWE)-hit Dantewada district.

However, the tribal rights activists raised questions on this campaign and claimed that an harmless tribal is trapped between Chhattisgarh Police, different paramilitary security forces and the Maoists. ‘Lon Varratu’ within the tribal Gond dialect means homecoming. The police have earmarked about 50 hypersensitive Maoist-dominated villages where pamphlets have been put up with an enchantment for them to give up.
