The new documentary, from director Jenny Popplewell and Oscar-winning government producer James Marsh, brings audiences into the grim thriller directing as much as the deaths of 34-year-old Shanann Watts and her two younger daughters, who, in 2018, had been reported lacking of their hometown of Frederick, Colorado. While initially seeming like Shanann merely walked away along with her youngsters, suspicion shortly fell on her husband Chris Watts. It was finally found that Watts was having an affair and he subsequently admitted to killing his spouse and youngsters and disposing of their our bodies in an oil storage place owned by his then-employer.
