Indian megastar Amitabh Bachchan confirmed on Saturday that he has examined positive for the novel coronavirus.

Soon after reviews emerged that the actor has been hospitalised, Bachchan tweeted saying that he has examined positive for the virus.

In the tweet, the actor stated that he has been shifted to a hospital. The Indian Express reported that the actor was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.

The actor also well informed that each one the relations and employees have undergone tests and that their outcomes are awaited.

“I’ve examined Covid positive.. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and employees undergone tests , outcomes awaited .. All which have been in shut proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves examined ! (sic)” the actor tweeted.

The actor has also urged all those that have been in shut proximity with him in the last 10 days to get themselves examined.
