BAFTA Awards Ceremony to be held on March 13 in 2022

London, June 21 (PTI) The British Film and Television Academy Awards (BAFTA) have announced the dates for their annual awards ceremony to be held in 2022. BAFTA said on Monday that the ceremony would be held on March 13, 2022.

According to a press release issued by BAFTA, the award ceremony in the UK will be broadcast by BBC One. The BAFTA awards ceremony, traditionally held in March each year, was held in April this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No specific venue has been confirmed for the award ceremony yet. However, for the past few years, the award ceremony is being held at the Royal Albert Hall.

At the 2021 BAFTA Awards ceremony, Chloe Zhao won Best Director for Nomadland, while the film’s lead actress Frances McDormand won the Best Actress award. In addition, Anthony Hopkins won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor for “The Father”.
