The teams of Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata Knight Riders are facing each other in the 38th match of IPL 2021. Both the teams have won two consecutive matches in the current UAE leg. Kolkata won the toss and decided to bat first. Three-time champions CSK will have to be wary of KKR’s mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty whose extra bounce and ability to bowl from different angles can spell trouble for the Chennai batsmen.

In the points table, MS Dhoni’s team CSK are at the second position with 14 points from nine matches while Eoin Morgan’s Knight Riders are fourth with eight points from the same number of matches. By winning here, Chennai’s team can almost ensure their place in the playoffs.
