Delhi Capitals, looking very balanced, will try to consolidate their position in the IPL-2021 points table by registering a win against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. Rajasthan Royals also won the last match with a thrilling win and will be eyeing to continue their winning campaign. The Rishabh Pant-led Delhi team had won six out of eight matches in the first leg. They got off to a good start in the second leg after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets to continue on top of the points table with 14 points.
After the victory of Punjab, the morale of Rajasthan will increase
On the other hand, a thrilling two-run win over Punjab Kings would have boosted the morale of the Royals, who struggled in the first leg. With a win against Delhi, the Royals could give wings to their chances of reaching the playoffs. Young Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mahipal Lomror had batted well against Punjab but skipper Sanju Samson needs to take more responsibility.
Rajasthan will be eyeing Karthik Tyagi in bowling
In the bowling department, fast bowler Karthik Tyagi and Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman played a good role in the end. The team would expect him to bowl similarly in the death overs against Delhi as well. However, they will have to face a strong Delhi batting line-up in which the opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw seem to be in good form. Shreyas Iyer has made a good comeback after recovering from injury. He scored an unbeaten 47 in the last match. Delhi’s middle order has strong batsmen like Captain Pant, Australian Steve Smith and Shimron Hetmyer.
Rabada and Nortje pair in charge
In the bowling department, all three Delhi fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Norje and Avesh Khan are performing well. The Royals’ batsmen will face a tough test in front of these three.
