BakuDenmark beat Czech Republic 2-1 on Saturday in the third quarter-final match of the Euro Cup-2021. Thomas Delaney and Kasper Dolberg scored for winners Denmark in Baku, while Patrick Schick scored the only goal for the Czechs. Denmark made a charismatic start in the match. Thomas Delaney scored in just the 5th minute and gave the team a vital 1-0 lead. Casper scored the second goal in the 42nd minute before he could land the first goal against Republic. Now the lead was 2-0, while Patrick scored for the Czech Republic in the 49th minute, but could not get the team back. Having started the tournament with two losses, Denmark have now scored 10 goals in their last three wins. Christian Eriksson suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch amid shocking circumstances. Three weeks later they are dreaming of repeating 1992 when Denmark won the European Championship despite not even qualifying.
