Pakistan has received a hot pepper over the statement made by Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar regarding the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Pakistan condemned Jaishankar’s statement saying that it has shown the true colors of India. Also said that this statement also proves Pakistan’s claim that India plays a negative role in FATF. Earlier, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar had said that it is the result of the efforts of the Modi government that Pakistan remains in the gray list of FATF. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zahid Hafiz said that his country continues to tell the international community that India is politicizing the FTF. At the same time, it is weakening the process of the global institution. He claimed that Pakistan is making serious efforts to fulfill the action plan of the FTF but India is doubting our efforts in a reprehensible manner.

‘Pakistan will take the statement to FATF’
Zahid said that Pakistan will take the statement of the Indian Foreign Minister to the FATF. Earlier, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had said that as a result of the efforts of the Modi government, Pakistan has been put in the gray list of FATF. Pakistan is still in the eyes of the FATF and is on the watch list for not taking action against UN-designated terrorists. The External Affairs Minister also said that the Modi government has told the world that India will not come under any pressure from China. Addressing a training program for BJP leaders, S Jaishankar said on Sunday that India had given an “appropriate reply” to China for violations on the LAC. He said that the Lashkar and Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists have been banned by the United Nations because of India’s efforts. Jaishankar said, ‘FATF monitors funding for terrorism and tackles black money supporting terrorism. Because of us, Pakistan is in the eyes of the FATF and has been kept in the gray list. We have been able to put pressure on Pakistan and the fact is that Pakistan’s behavior has changed because there has been pressure from India in various ways.
