Gmail for iPad update provides support for Split View multitasking

Google has up to date its Gmail app for iPad so as to add long-awaited Split View multitasking support.

With the Split View function, one will be capable to open Gmail whereas checking schedule in Google Calendar to verify a gathering time, or drag and drop photos from Google Photos into an e-mail.

“You can use Gmail and Google Calendar on the similar time with Split View to examine your schedule before replying to an e-mail to verify a gathering time. Or, you may simply drag and drop photos from Google Photos into an e-mail with out leaving Gmail,” the corporate mentioned in a press release.

The function is on the market instantly to all G Suite and private Google Accounts.

To enter Split View from Gmail, one should activate multitasking on iPad. Then, swipe up from the underside of screen, and drag the app wish to run alongside Gmail to the left or right fringe of the screen.

Apple first added the cut up view function to the iPad back in 2015, with iOS 9 and Google added Split View support for Docs, Sheets in addition to Slides in 2016.
