New Delhi: In a letter from the Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on October 26, 2020, the central govt has requested states and UTs to put in place a three-tier system to oversee the rollout of the vaccine and address any hiccups, along with rumors on the upcoming Covid-19 vaccine. As per the letter, the govt is planning to create the Covid-19 Vaccination Beneficiary Management system (CVBMS) to ensure straightforward administration of the vaccine and shall be creating committees to coordinate work on updating the database of health workers.
As per the plans, the three tiers will comprise a state steering committee, headed by the chief secretary, a state course of strain, headed by the principal secretary (health), and a district course of strain, led by the district Justice of the Peace.
