Govt permits museums and artwork galleries to open from Nov 10, SOPs say use of touch-based digital tech to be restricted

The ministry of tradition on Thursday issued regulations for re-opening of museums, artwork galleries and exhibitions chalking out measures to comprise the extend of Covid-19.

While it has made sanitization of premises at normal intervals and sporting of masks by all guests necessary, the usual working procedures (SoPs) have also barred use of audio guides until they are often disinfected after each use.

The regulations state that raise operations are to be restricted, ideally reserved for bodily challenged or aged individuals. It has also suggested restricted use of touch-based digital automation besides in cases where disinfection could be ensured after each use.
