New Delhi AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has again spewed venom on Hindutva. He has called Hindutva a threat to the unity and integrity of the country. He said these things while targeting Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday. All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Owaisi tweeted while addressing Uddhav Thackeray on Friday. Tagging Hindutva in it, he wrote, ‘Hindutva is a threat to the unity and integrity of the country. The definition of Hindutva is – divide and rule in the British style. Attacking CM Uddhav Thackeray, Owaisi wrote that NCP and Congress happily weakened their so called secular ideology by allying with you. But, you have not gone an inch away from Hindutva. The AIMIM chief also targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He said the society has to choose between the RSS’s love for inequality and Ambedkar’s desire for liberty, equality, fraternity and justice. Earlier, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, while targeting the BJP, said that Hindutva is in danger because those in power divide people on different lines in the style of British. We have to bridge the gap between all communities. Thackeray on Friday slammed his former alliance partner BJP on various issues, including the controversy over Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s remarks on freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Speaking at Shiv Sena’s annual Dussehra rally at Shanmukhanand Hall, Thackeray said the BJP has not understood both Veer Savarkar and Mahatma Gandhi. Rajnath Singh had recently courted controversy by claiming that Mahatma Gandhi had advised Veer Savarkar to send a mercy petition to the British government while lodged in the Cellular Jail in Andaman.
