Debutant Devon Conway, who scored a double century in the first Test against England, entered the rankings at 77th position.
Williamson number one batsmanKiwi captain Kane Williamson is at the top of the rankings for Test batsmen. Kohli, who captained India in the World Test Championship final against New Zealand from June 18, is fifth with 814 points. England captain Joe Root is one notch above him. Pant and Rohit have moved up a place to sixth place with 747 points each. In the rankings for Test bowlers, Indian off-spinner R Ashwin is at the second position with 850 points. Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins is at the top with 908 points. Ashwin is the only Indian in the top ten. West Indies’ Jason Holder continues to top the all-rounders’ rankings. India’s Ravindra Jadeja is second and Ashwin is in fourth place.
