New Delhi The Indian cricket team (Ravindra Jadeja) registered a big achievement in his name on the third day of the Nottingham Test match against England (IND v ENG 1st Test). Jadeja scored 56 runs in the first innings. Along with this, left-handed batsman Jadeja also completed his 2000 runs and 200 wickets in Test cricket. Jadeja has become India’s 5th player to take 2000 runs and 200 wickets in Tests and 21st overall. Earlier, India’s former captain Kapil Dev, Ravichandran Ashwin, Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh have achieved this feat.

Jadeja achieved this feat through a boundary. Left-arm spinner Jadeja has done this feat in his 53rd Test. Earlier, former England all-rounder Ian Botham (42 Tests), veteran all-rounder Kapil Dev (50 Tests), former Pakistan captain Imran Khan (50 Tests) and R Ashwin had set this record in 51 Tests.

India took a 95-run lead on Jadeja’s half-century
Jadeja hit 8 fours and a six in his half-century. India took a lead of 95 runs in the first innings. Jadeja and opener KL Rahul were instrumental in this lead.

England still 70 runs behind
England scored 25 runs in the second innings without losing any wicket till the end of day’s play due to rain and are still 70 runs behind. Dominic Sibley scored 9 not out off 33 balls with the help of two fours and Rory Burns scored 11 runs off 38 balls with the help of two fours. Indian bowlers have not got any success so far. England’s first innings was bowled out for 183 runs.
