Apple Display: A very important information has come out about the upcoming iPhone 14 series of tech giant Apple. However, these days the company seems to be busy with its iPhone 13 series to be launched this year, while now a report has recently come out from South Korea which indicates that LG display is low-temperature polycrystalline oxide. (LTPO) is planning to start production of its 120Hz display based on the technology. It is being said that this display will be part of Apple next year. The Elec report states that LG Display has started internal talks with manufacturer Avaco to acquire LTPO-manufacturing equipment for its display facility.
It is said that the final order for the equipment will be placed when the South Korean company gets approval from Apple for next year’s iPhone series. This suggests that the company’s next iPhone 14 models can be launched with LTPO OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate. Apart from the 120Hz refresh rate, it is being speculated that the in-display fingerprint sensor for security and a new 6.7-inch model can be launched in the iPhone 14 series. Not only this, the hole-punch design can also be seen in the iPhone 14 Pro.
There will be no mini version of the iPhone in the company’s series and one of the other reasons is that the company may switch to 120Hz display for its upcoming iPhone 14 models. It is said that the company has joined hands with Samsung to offer 120Hz refresh rate supporting LTPO OLED display in Apple iPhone 13 Pro models. At the same time, there are reports that the non-Pro iPhone 13 models may have regular LTPS TFT OLED displays that do not support high-refresh rate.
