SharjahKolkata Knight Riders (KKR) opener Venkatesh Iyer has said that he did what the team asked him to do. He also expressed happiness over successfully achieving the target in an exciting contest. Chasing 136, Iyer scored 55 runs. Iyer said, ‘I did what I was asked to do. I am glad we were victorious. There is no difference in this. I played the way I wanted to play. I am grateful for the management. It’s a good place to play. He also said that he was trying to build himself against Delhi which he had not been able to do in the last few matches. Iyer said, ‘I think in the last few matches I was trying to limit myself a little because I wanted to stay till the end. But then I realized it was not me. I was currently lagging behind in trying to be a bit conservative.’ KKR beat Delhi by three wickets in Qualifier 2 and made it to the final. KKR have reached the title match of IPL for the third time where they will face Chennai Super Kings.
