The 5th and last Test match of the series between India and England starting today in Manchester has been cancelled. India were ahead 2-1 in the five-match series, if Team India had won the last match, they would have won the first match at Old Trafford and the third series in England. After the cancellation of this Test, former Indian cricket team opener Virender Sehwag remembered his childhood days. Veeru wrote on his official Twitter handle, ‘Pencil… 5th Test——–. Sehwag’s tweet reminded me of school days when children used to tell other children to say ‘pencil’. When the child in front used to speak pencil, then the child who asked the question used to say – Cancel your marriage. Fans also enjoyed a lot on this tweet of Sehwag. One fan wrote, ‘Bolo pencil son, pencil, match was cancelled.’ Another user wrote, ‘These are world class cricketers, children of second class.’
ECB said- India is responsible for the cancellation of the match
Earlier, a statement was issued by the ECB saying that India has refused to play. In such a situation, his team will be considered a loser. The ECB changed the language of its statement after the BCCI raised objections in this regard. The Test was canceled by the ECB instead of forefeet.
England tour to be held in July next year
If it will be a one-Test series, then India will be considered as the winner of the current series against England (India vs England 5th Test Canceled) as it is currently 2-1 ahead. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet. The canceled Test match can be played in July next year when India tour England for a limited overs series.
