Taking suo motu cognisance, the NCW mentioned it has come throughout a “disturbing video” on social media whereby a policeman is seen threatening employees members of a financial institution and allegedly beating a feminine worker.

A police constable was suspended and arrested for allegedly thrashing a financial institution worker in Gujarat”s Surat district after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman sought immediate motion within the matter.

Bank officers mentioned police constable Ghanshyam Shyora entered the Canara Bank”s Saroli department on Monday in plain garments and requested the feminine worker to print his passbook. When informed the printer was not working, he abused her and started slapping and pushing her.

The video of the assault went viral on social media.
