Union Minister Piyush Goyal has rubbished claims that outsiders were brought in to scuffle with opposition parties in the Rajya Sabha. Goyal said that marshals are neither from the ruling party nor from the opposition… In fact these opposition members shoved the women marshals. Goyal’s remarks came after he was asked about NCP leader Sharad Pawar’s allegation that outsiders were brought in to scuffle with opposition leaders, including women MPs. Piyush Goyal said that wrong information was given to the NCP chief. The Union minister suggested Pawar to reflect on the conduct of his allies in the opposition. Goyal was addressing a joint press conference with other Union ministers. Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, while interacting with reporters at the Parliament House complex, had also said a day earlier that in his 55 years of parliamentary politics, he had never seen a situation where women MPs were attacked inside the House. When asked about this, Goyal said, “Marshals or security personnel are neither from the ruling party nor the opposition. He looks after the security of the Parliament House. We have not appointed him. He said that all were personnel of the Parliament Security Service and there were 12 female marshals and 18 male marshals. “I want to clarify that someone has given wrong information to Pawar. His figures are wrong and his allegation that someone came from outside is also wrong. Accusing the opposition of causing ruckus and indecent behavior during the monsoon session of Parliament, Union ministers on Thursday said that such strict action should be taken against the opposition MPs who break rules and behave in such a way that anyone doing such a thing should be done. Don’t dare
