Recently the news came that China did it in August last. This testing of China became a challenge even for a powerful country like America. However, China denied this and said that it had tested the spacecraft, not the missile. Nevertheless, this news has caused panic in the world, there are curiosity.
Dilip Lal is telling about the world of missiles through question and answer:

What is? How powerful and effective is it compared to other missiles? The missile is like a vehicle and it serves to carry the payload (nuclear or other weapons). There are three types of missiles on the basis of speed- subsonic, supersonic and hypersonic. Missiles flying below the speed of sound (330 m/s) are subsonic, supersonic ones flying faster than the speed of sound, and hypersonic missiles flying at five times the speed of sound (6,174 km/h) or more. There are two types of hypersonic missiles – hypersonic cruise missiles and hypersonic glide vehicles. Hypersonic cruise is similar to a normal cruise missile, but with a high-speed jet engine that gives it Mach-5 (five times the speed of sound) or higher. Hypersonic glide vehicle is launched into space with the help of a rocket. At present, there are six countries in the world—USA, Russia, China, India, France and the UK—that are working on such a campaign.
Has China made any hypersonic missile before?Yes, China had tested a medium-range hypersonic missile in the year 2019, which has a range of two thousand kilometers. But at this time there is a hypersonic missile made by China in the discussion. It first goes to Earth’s orbit and then returns from there to attack its target. It becomes more dangerous in the sense that it is not caught.
How do cruise missiles work? What are its utilities? The capability of missiles is judged on launch mode, range, propulsion (mechanical power), warhead, guidance system, etc. In terms of utility, cruise missiles are more effective. Cruise missiles are used only for surgical strikes or any type of combat in border countries. Perhaps that is why Missileman Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam said that big missiles remain as showpieces. The speed of cruise missiles is less than the speed of sound (330 m/s). Such missiles fall under the category of subsonic. There are no separations in it, that is, its parts are not separated. Its altitude is also low. These are used for temporary damages. Such missiles have a jet engine. Once the target is hit, it falls directly on the target itself. Nirbhay, Prithvi are such missiles in our country. It strikes for about 200-300 km.
How to understand ballistic missile?A rocket is used as an engine in a ballistic missile. It carries oxygen and fuel together. Going out of Earth’s orbit, it opens its warhead, the cover that covers the payload. Its payload consists of decoys (fake arms). These confuse the enemy’s radar. These missiles inflict permanent damage, so they can be used in major wars.
How dangerous the missile will be depends on what? The higher the capability of the missile to load the payload, the more dangerous it will be. India’s Agni-5 is one such ballistic missile in which 10 payloads can be loaded. Ballistic missile smoke hides in the clouds, making it difficult to trace. Some ballistic missiles are guided and some are unguided. Guided missiles can be guided by laser beams or other state-of-the-art technologies. That is, its path can be changed. Therefore, it is out of the grip of anti-missile system. Unguided missiles are those that reach the target once the target is set. Nag is an example of an unguided missile.
