(Narendra Modi) shared a video on social media on Wednesday. This video is of Tokyo Olympic 2020 athletes during breakfast at PM’s residence. In this, Modi is seen interacting with Indian athletes. The Prime Minister had invited the Indian players who returned from the Tokyo Olympics to the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15. Indian athletes had reached the Red Fort on the occasion of 75th Independence Day where the PM had boosted their morale with thunderous applause. During breakfast, the PM asked the Indian players about their Olympic experience and their favorite things. Modi asked the woman (Vinesh Phogat), ‘And Vinesh… it belongs to my own family… don’t get so angry… losing in a player’s life is a left-handed game… that’s it. Part of the game is… Never let victory go to your head, and never let defeat settle in your mind. This mantra is very important in life. I heard you did not meet anyone after coming.’ On this Vinesh said that Sir… even after so much hard work, if the medal does not come, then it hurts. To this Modi said that no, it does not happen. The PM said, ‘You should remove the defeat from your mind as soon as possible.’ To this Vinesh said, ‘Sir, it is not easy to accept defeat.’

Was a medal contender in Tokyo Olympics
Before the start of the Tokyo Olympics, Vinesh was a medal contender in women’s wrestling but had to return empty-handed. This was followed by reports that Vinesh had refused to stay at the Tokyo Khelgaon and was not even training with fellow female wrestlers.

allegations of indiscipline
However, after returning from Tokyo, Vinesh was accused of indiscipline. He was temporarily suspended. After this all kinds of speculations started going on. Vinesh apologized on Saturday, but there is still a possibility that the federation will not allow her to participate in the upcoming World Championship.
