Railway players who won medals in Tokyo Olympics were honored, Minister said – facilities will be better

India had a historic performance in the Tokyo Olympics. A total of seven medals including one gold, two silver and four bronze were won, out of which two silver and one bronze medals were given by railway players. These athletes were honored by the country’s Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.

Railway players will get facilities
From weightlifter Mirabai Chanu to silver medalist Ravi Kumar, who got the first medal in this honor ceremony held in the capital of the country, many players were involved. Along with this, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that now all facilities will be given to the players according to their needs. The infrastructure of the facilities will also be changed.

Prizes for 25 players and six coaches
A total of 25 players and six coaches were awarded in the felicitation ceremony. Checks of Rs 2 crore each were given to weightlifter Mirabai Chanu and wrestler Ravi Kumar. Bronze medalist Veer Wrestler Bajrang Punia, hockey players Nilkanta Sharma, Amit Rohidas got Rs 1 crore each.
