He said that like every citizen of the country, he also wants the World Cup trophy to be in the BCCI cabinet. 48-year-old Tendulkar said, ‘It will be 11 years in April, we have not won any World Cup. It’s a long wait. Everyone, including me, wants that splendid trophy in the BCCI office. Sachin said, ‘This is the trophy for which every cricketer plays – the World Cup. Nothing can be bigger than this, be it the short format or the big format, the World Cup is special. Tendulkar called the pairing of (Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid) ‘fantastic’. Rohit-Rahul has got this responsibility after Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri stepped down from the leadership role last year. The Master Blaster said that he has enough understanding and support to achieve that. The real key to success is not to lose hope during the process. Sachin said, ‘Both Rohit and Rahul are a wonderful pair (Rahul-Rohit Pair). I know they both will give their best and prepare their best and also when you have so many people supporting you, what more can you need. After all, this is the advantage of meeting at the right time. Sachin further said, ‘Everyone has played a lot of cricket, Rahul has played so much cricket that he understands that there will be ups and downs in this path. Don’t lose hope. You have to keep trying and keep moving forward.
