Six Robbers Including Three Women Held in Ghaziabad; Cash, Ornaments Recovered

A gang of six robbers, together with three ladies, have been arrested in Ghaziabad and a countrymade pistol, a knife, Rs 70,000 money and different things recovered from them, police stated on Monday. They have been arrested on the intervening night time of Sunday and Monday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kalanidhi Naithani stated, including that the gang had robbed a home in Chiranjiv Vihar colony below the Kavi Nagar police station limits on July 28.
Following the theft incident, a bunch of eight dacoits was recognized utilizing CCTV footage, the police stated. Three males and three ladies have been nabbed on Sunday night time. Two of their accomplices tried to flee on a scooty and fired on police personnel after being cornered close to Shyama Prasad Mukherji Park, they added.
When the police group fired in retaliation, one among them sustained a bullet injury to the leg, whereas further managed to flee, the SSP stated, including that the injured man was arrested and brought to a hospital. They have been recognized as Aalam (injured), Rajjak and Rubel Sheikh, Sonia, Nazma and Mukta. Gang chief Aalam confessed that that they had committed the July 28 theft, Naithani stated.
A nation-made pistol, 4 live and two used cartridges, a knife, a tempo, a scooty, Rs 70,000 money, gold and silver ornaments, and some documents have been recovered from their possession, he added.
