Diamond sprucing models in Surat in Gujarat will stay shut until July 13 whereas diamond buying and selling markets shall be non-operational until July 9 in view of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

An order to this impact was issued on Monday by Surat Municipal Corporation Commissioner Banchhanidhi Pani.

Pani mentioned permission for resumption of operations can be given to those models in the event that they comply with the civic body’s Covid-19 pointers and normal working procedures.

In one other notification, Pani mentioned a textile making unit or textile market shall be shut for seven days if a number of cases emerge from them.
