This was to say by the Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, who was speaking at the inauguration of the two-day conference of Tourism and Culture Ministers of North Eastern States here. Along with this, he also asked all the states of the North East to form a task force in their own right, in which, from tourism and culture to various departments and agencies of the Center and the states, he advised to form a task force, so that there is constant coordination among themselves. To further the development agenda. On this occasion, the minister also talked about emphasizing on all aspects of tourism. He said that there is a tremendous potential for tourism, in which work can be done on eco, village, medical, sports, adventure, golf, film, river, border tourism. He told the need to build a strong infrastructure for this. Keeping in view the attention being given to the North East region by the Center, Reddy said that the ministers of the central government are coming here continuously. He said that on the instructions of PM Modi, 16 ministers would visit the states of the Northeast every month, so that proper monitoring of various ongoing projects could be done here. It is noteworthy that two ministers will go to every state from the center every month. It will consist of a Union Minister and a State Minister. Not only this, the Ministry of Tourism has planned to organize International Tourism Mart in Nagaland this year. Reddy said that it would be organized around the Horn Bill Festival held there every year. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was present at the inauguration of the conference, said that road, rail and air connectivity will have to be promoted to promote tourism in the northeastern states. Along with this, he said that the tourist points of North East will have to be branded. The North East brand has to be promoted. Sarma said that if work is done in this area with determination for the whole five years, then it can be transformed here. It is worth noting that the Ministry has approved sixteen schemes worth Rs 1300 crore for the North East region under its Swadesh Darshan scheme, which includes projects related to heritage, eco circuit, spiritual and religious and tribal. Whereas under the Prasad scheme of the ministry, about 200 crore schemes have got the green signal. This also includes development work of the famous Kamakhya temple complex in Guwahati, Assam at a cost of Rs 29.99 crore. The progress of various ongoing projects of the Central Government will also be reviewed in the two-day conference. The Ministry of Tourism has joined hands with IRCTC to promote North East tourism. Under which an agreement was also reached between the two on Monday.
