UAE: Abu Dhabi updates green list, new rules get relief from quarantine

Abu DhabiThe Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, has updated the travel rules for the countries included in the ‘Green List’. In the new rules, following the Kovid guidelines, travel restrictions have been relaxed. According to the new rules, vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers coming from countries included in the Green List will be exempted from the quarantine rules when entering Abu Dhabi. The new rules will be applicable from 12 pm on October 8. The countries included in the Green List will mean the place from where the passengers are coming and not the citizenship of the passengers. Passengers will have to produce a negative PCR COVID-19 report which has been tested 48 hours before the journey. Upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport, passengers will undergo a PCR test.

At the same time, people will be tested for corona on the sixth and ninth day without getting the vaccine. The purpose of the Green List is to implement strict health and safety travel rules, keeping in mind the well being of the UAE. The Green List is updated from time to time as per international standards and regulations. Air service between India and UAE has started once again after the cases of Corona are reduced.

The huge demand for flight is having an impact on flight ticket prices. A large number of Indian travelers are reaching UAE due to the ‘Expo 2020 Dubai’ being held in Dubai. A spokesman for travel agency Al Badie said the five-month ban on commercial flights led to a “backlog”. Many UAE residents stranded in India want to come back at the earliest. At the same time, many Indian citizens are flying from UAE to India for their home or holidays.
