BristolFast bowler Emily Arlott has been included in the England women’s cricket team for the one-off Test against India starting June 16. England announced a 17-man squad in which more layoffs will be done. The eliminated players will compete in the Rachael Hehowe Flint Trophy (RHFT). Arlot recently scored a hat-trick in RHFT. Heather Knight will be the captain of the team against India. The Indian team will play the first Test in seven years. After this, three ODIs and three T20 matches will also be played. Head coach Lisa Knightley said in a statement issued by the ECB, “During the Corona era, it was difficult to choose a team given the need for cover in the team, but we want to give opportunities to as many players as possible.” Squad: Heather Knight, Emily Arlott, Tammy Beaumont, Katherine Brunt, Kate Cross, Freya Davis, Sophia Dunkley, Sophie Accleton, Georgia Elvis, Tash Farrant, Sarah Glenn, Amy Jones, Nate Sciver, Anya Shrubsole, Maddie Willers, Fran Wilson, Lauren Winfield Hill.
